Description
There are few wines in the world as immediately, unmistakably aromatic as Gewürztraminer — and there are few places in Canada where this exotic variety thrives as completely as it does in the desert heat of Osoyoos. Bordertown’s Gewürztraminer is a landmark expression of this grape: concentrated, expressive, and deeply satisfying in a way that few whites can match.
Low yields in this vintage led to a wine of exceptional concentration. Lychee, rose water, citrus, apricot, pineapple and banana — all the variety’s classic hallmarks appear with striking intensity and then spring forward from a textured, weighty palate that delivers a lush, rich, rounded impression from first sip to long, lingering finish. The palate is lush and weighty but well balanced with moderate acidity. Rated 91 points by John Schreiner.
The definitive match for spicy cuisine — anywhere in Canada.
Gewürztraminer has an almost unique ability to tame heat and complement complex aromatic cuisines. It handles Thai curries (green, red or massaman) better than almost any other wine, and it’s extraordinary alongside Peking duck with plum sauce, Moroccan lamb tagine, washed-rind cheeses, and lemongrass-based desserts. For anyone who loves food with real flavour and spice, this is the white wine to have in the fridge.
100% estate-grown in our Osoyoos vineyard where the desert sun ensures the grape achieves the full ripeness and aromatic concentration it needs. BC VQA certified.

The wine begins with aromas of spices and herbs which carry through to the flavours. The dry finish sets the wine up to be enjoyed with food. 91.
