Supporting
BC BUSINESS
We’re excited to announce that Bordertown has received funding from the Buy BC Partnership Program.
As a family-run vineyard and estate winery, the Gill family has evolved from farming to winemaking. Farmers for generations, winemaking is our passion. At Bordertown, we make wines of character and spirit, just for the sheer love of winemaking. Our award-winning wines continue to be recognized for their quality year after year. Buy BC Partnership funding will help us shine a spotlight on the work we do and the wines we make.
The Buy BC Partnership Program is a fundamental component of Buy BC programming that provides up to $2 million in cost-shared funding annually to local producers, processors, and associations to support their ability to undertake local marketing activities that increase consumer awareness and sales of local agriculture, food and beverage products. The program splits the cost of marketing for local growers and producers to help promote the industry and increase support for local companies.
As huge supporters of Buy BC, we look forward to spreading the word and sharing a taste of our friends and neighbours throughout B.C. who are growing, harvesting and producing outstanding BC food and wine! 🍷
Getting support from the Buy BC Partnership Program has given a huge boost to the brand and overall market presence of our family-run business. With the support of the Buy BC program, we can showcase the innovation in our vineyards and cellar and then package our wines for the enjoyment of our customers and the opportunity to “Taste the Bordertown Difference!”

“The South Okanagan is famous for its wine, and the wine created at Bordertown, is full of B.C. flavours. We are very honored to be recipients of Buy BC Partnership funding. As committed members of our own local community we see the investment as an opportunity to increase awareness of our Bordertown’s award-winning wines. Our wines will be shared with consumers, media and influencers in order to promote awareness and help advance the reputation of the B.C. wine industry as a world-class wine growing region.”
– Mohan Gill, President
We are an independently owned family vineyard and winery. Just like you, we make choices about spending our hard-earned money.
We produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of the South Okanagan. It is important and beneficial to have a place to share with customers. Out tasting room is the perfect venue for telling our winery story and connecting with consumers. When you visit our tasting room in Osoyoos you can discover locally sourced products. The consumer can meet the personalities of the winery and is often able to view the production facility and/or vineyards, giving them first-hand knowledge of the source of the wine.
Here’s a more detailed look at why buying local is a good choice:
Supporting the Local Economy
Purchasing from local wineries helps keep money circulating within the community, supporting jobs and businesses in your area
When people support our winery colleagues, and they, in turn, help us with equipment loans or helpful advice, that’s a strong community. And when we spend our dollars, we choose local, independently owned businesses so our money has that same Local Multiplier Effect.
Purchasing from local wineries helps keep money circulating within the community, supporting jobs and businesses in your area.
Every dollar you spend on something locally made in BC stays in our community sustaining jobs and businesses.
Your purchase not only helps sustain our operations but also encourages the continuation of Bordertown’s passion for winemaking and commitment to quality.
Creating a Strong Community
Buying and enjoying local wines goes beyond your glass. When you choose a BC wine, you are choosing to give back to your community. Your generous support helps a lot of people, people here in the South Okanagan and people in your community.
Personalised Experience and Connections
Visiting Bordertown’s Tasting Room allows you to connect with Mohan, learn about our viticultural practices and winemaking philosophies, and gain insights into the unique terroir that shapes our wines. This personalised experience fosters a deeper appreciation for the craft and the stories behind each bottle.
