Bordertown’s Merlot 2019 was named one of the Top 50 Wines in BC at the 2024 Wine Awards — recognition that reflects the quality and consistency of what estate-grown Osoyoos Merlot can achieve in the right hands. The 2021 vintage continues that momentum, rated 92 points by John Schreiner and earning a Silver Medal at the Pacific Rim Wine Competition 2025.
This is South Okanagan Merlot at its most characterful: ripe red fruits, black raspberry and rhubarb balanced with pepper, herbs and warm spices. Stewed plums and a hint of mint emerge as the wine opens in the glass, sitting within a well-integrated oak structure that adds smoothness without dominating. Medium body with wonderfully supple tannins — this is an accessible, inviting red that rewards careful attention without demanding it.
