Description
Every element that makes Bordertown’s Malbec exceptional — the Osoyoos terroir, the desert heat, the attention to detail in the vineyard — is taken to another level in the Reserve bottling. Bordertown’s outstanding 2020 vintage Malbec was hand-selected for this Reserve release, from low-yield vineyard blocks on our Osoyoos estate that produced fruit of exceptional concentration.
Rated 93 points by John Schreiner, this wine has also earned a Gold Medal at the Pacific Rim Wine Competition 2024, a Silver Medal at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition 2024, a Silver Medal at the National Wine Align Awards 2023 and a Bronze Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition 2023 — a haul that reflects just how seriously this wine is regarded on the competition circuit.
With blackberry flavours backed by well-integrated tannins, this is a red wine of fabulous intensity that finishes smoothly. The texture is rich and lush; the finish is velvety and deeply satisfying — a wine that rewards patience both in the cellar and in the glass.
Osoyoos Malbec at its most ambitious, for collectors and occasion drinkers alike.
Built for the most important meals: dry-aged côte de boeuf, venison with juniper jus, Moroccan braised lamb with prunes and preserved lemon, or a dark chocolate fondant to finish. Alternatively, cellar for 6–10 years.
BC VQA certified. Limited release from low-yield Osoyoos blocks.
