Wow, it really has been an amazing week! Great news arrives just in time for the summer season!
We were absolutely thrilled and very proud to learn that Bordertown won five awards at the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition!
The most exciting news? Bordertown’s Cabernet Franc won “Best of Class.”
The Pacific Rim International Wine Competition was founded in 1985 at the National Orange Show Fairgrounds in Southern California.
Founding members included wine lovers, educators and vintners. Their desire was to provide a fair and unbiased evaluation of wines in order to help the wineries with marketing while providing the consumer with guidelines to assist them in their selections.
This year’s Competition had 1,000 entries from about 200 wineries representing most wine regions of the United States, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Chile, France, Germany, Italy and as far away as the Carpathian Region of Ukraine.
“When judging fine wines, the caliber of the competition matters, and we simply have the best of the best here at the Pacific Rim.
Our competition continues to gain recognition as a premiere wine event in Southern California, giving producers across the globe a unique opportunity to stand out among their peers.”
Coke Roth, Chief Judge.
