Description
If the Bordertown Cabernet Franc is the wine that introduces you to what the South Okanagan can do with this variety, the Reserve is the wine that makes you understand what it can truly achieve. Sourced from select low-yield blocks at our finest Osoyoos estate sites — grapes cropped deliberately short to build concentration and complexity — the Reserve takes Cabernet Franc to another level entirely.
Rated 93 points by John Schreiner, this wine has also earned a Double Gold Medal at the Pacific Rim Wine Competition 2024, a Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition 2023, a Silver Medal at the National Wine Align Awards 2022 and a Silver Medal at the LA International Wine Competition 2022 — one of the most decorated wines in our entire portfolio.
The wine delivers a fantastic expression of dark fruit intensity: zesty dark fruit, a hint of herbaceous bell pepper and a tinge of mint, leading to a lush, rich palate and a lengthy finish that speaks of both elegance and majesty. Decanting for 45–60 minutes is essential to unlock the full complexity this wine is capable of.
A wine for occasions that deserve the finest bottle in the room.
Pair it with dry-aged beef, venison, braised lamb with Moroccan spices, dark chocolate or a strong aged cheese. Alternatively, cellar it — this wine has the structure and concentration to age comfortably for 8–12 years.
