Description
Cabernet Franc has established itself as a ‘go-to’ grape in the south Okanagan. Known as a component grape for classic Bordeaux blends, it has broken out on its own and is loved for its deep expressive flavours of tobacco, dark spice, and a pleasant hint of herbaceous green pepper, all achieved while maintaining supple tannins and dark berry flavours. BC VQA CERTIFIED.

Peter Hellman –
In early April, Bordertown was selected along with 6 other BC wineries to exhibit other BC in NYC at James Beard House for the amazing Chef Ned Bell seafood extravaganza luncheon. Chef Ned Bell did the most incredible magic and paired Bordertown’s Cabernet Franc with BC salmon with mushrooms, celery root and hearts, and the most fabulous black truffle dressing.
“I have been very impressed with the wines today. The cabernet franc with that food pairing reminded me of something I would taste from the Loire Valley.” – Peter Hellman, Wine Spectator.

Here is a classic brambly expression of a varietal that is a rising star. It begins with aromas blackberry and black cherry. On the palate, there rich flavours of dark fruits mingled with tobacco, chocolate and spicy oak. Full-bodied, the wine has a lingering finish. 92.
